Rod Overton

Rod Overton is the Internet Director for WBTV.

A native of Charlotte, Rod has managed several other media websites, including those for TV stations and newspapers throughout the South.

Rod was the managing editor for WRAL.com in Raleigh and was the Internet Director for KHOU-TV in Houston.

At newspapers, Rod was the web editor for the Miami Herald and a site manager for the Sun-Sentinel and the Orlando Sentinel. He was the founding news editor for the Greensboro News & Record's website.

Rod began his career in media as a newspaper reporter covering the city hall and crime beats.
